SHAMOKIN - Officials will await toxicology results before determining what killed a 25-year-old man found dead inside his South Shamokin Street home Tuesday.

Northumberland County Coroner James Kelley reported an autopsy on Michael Hanko, of 123 S. Shamokin St. conducted Wednesday reported no abnormalities, but he could not make an official determination on the death until the tests were completed, which will take about 12 weeks.

Kelley pronounced Hanko dead shortly after authorities were summoned to the scene at 10 a.m. Tuesday. An emergency call dispatched by Northumberland County Communications Center reported someone was in cardiac arrest at that time. Police said Hanko lived in the half-double home on Shamokin Street with his girlfriend.

Neither Kelley nor Shamokin City Police are considering the death suspicious.
