SHAMOKIN - Blankets are being sought by VNA Health System to donate to homebound patients in New York City who are without power following the natural disaster caused by Hurricane Sandy.
Donated blankets can be dropped off anytime Saturday or Sunday at the rear of AREA Services administrative building, 300 W. Water St., or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at VNA's downtown Shamokin office, 21 W. Independence St.
All blankets will be distributed to those in need by the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.
