Children's show in Sunbury
SUNBURY - K.J. Reimensnyder-Wagner, a singer-songwriter and inspirational speaker, will perform a children's show at 3 p.m. today at the Oppenheimer Pleasure Grounds on North Second Street.
Attendees are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the concert.
CCD preparations under way
MOUNT CARMEL - The combined CCD program for the parishes of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Divine Redeemer begins Sunday, Sept. 22, for students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades, and Monday, Sept. 23, for students from first to fifth grades. All sessions run from 5:45 to 7 p.m.
An organizational meeting of all CCD (religious education) teachers from the two parishes will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish hall.
To register a student new to the Mount Carmel CCD program, contact Karen Harris at 339-1317 for a registration form. Letters containing a "re-registration" form are being sent to all those who were registered last year. Parents are asked to return these forms as soon as possible.
