MONTOURSVILLE - PennDOT officials have released a timetable of work for the resurfacing of Route 225 from Trevorton to the Cameron Bridge and the bridge replacement project on Route 61 near Tharptown.

District's assistant construction engineer Ted Deptula provided these details:

Route 225: After a month of drainage work, milling has begun on the 5-mile project. By late next week, crews will be doing repairs to the base of the road.

By mid-May, paving will begin and should be completed on or about June 1. Minor work to complete the project will be done and the tentative date of completion is July 3.

Route 61 bridge: the first deck, for the northbound lanes of the bridge, should be placed in the first week of June.

After allowing time for it to set, traffic is scheduled to be switched to single lanes in either direction in the southbound lanes. The second deck is scheduled to be placed the third week in August.

If the work stays on schedule, traffic is scheduled to be restored to four lanes with the project being completed on or about Nov. 1.
