Organization News: Rainbow Club

COAL TOWNSHIP - The Rainbow Club met Sunday at Our Lady of Hope hall.

The meeting was opened by Ruth Romanoski, president, with the Senior Adult Ministry prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Over 50 song. Birthdays were announced, followed by song and applause.

Dolly Yocum, secretary, read the minutes of last month's meeting. Minutes were approved and filed.

Florence Verano, travel coordinator, announced plans for a trip to see "Butterflies are Free." Members were advised to contact her about future trips.

A meeting of officers will be held Wednesday at the Village Town Restaurant. Anyone who wants to attend should contact Romanoski.

The club's donation to Youth Day was acknowledged.

The annual anniversary dinner will be Sunday, May 19, with Mass at 11 a.m., followed by dinner at The Original Italian Pizza restaurant.

Ann Koshinskie and Romanoski sold 50/50 tickets. Winners were: Linda Yanick, Catherine Reed and Violet Feudale.

Bingo was played, with Yocum as the caller.
