Special events at Knoebels
ELYSBURG - Knoebels Amusement Resort will celebrate WVIA Family day today and Mother's Day Sunday, when free corsages will be given to visiting moms.
The general public is welcome to share in the events and activities surrounding WVIA Day, with the park open from noon to 8 p.m. Music performances by "Mr. Steve" from PBS Kids takes the stage at the bandshell at 1, 3:30 and 6 p.m. After each live performance there will be a meet and greet with "Mr. Steve." In addition, there will be a special meet and greet appearance with Whyatt from Super WHY.
Sunday, moms can get their corsages at the station behind Stony Gables. They are handmade by Knoebels team members. Park hours are noon to 7 p.m.
Cecilian Club concert is Monday
SHAMOKIN - The Cecilian Club will present its final concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Mount Zion Welsh Congregational United Church of Christ. The concert will include highlights from this season's programs.
The public is invited to the concert, which is free of charge. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow.
