Christmas tree pickup set Jan. 5
ELYSBURG - Ralpho Township Business Association members will provide a Christmas tree pickup for township residents Saturday, Jan. 5.
Residents are asked to have their trees curbed by 9 a.m. and donations clearly attached.
Donations can also be mailed to the Ralpho Township Business Association, P.O. Box 218. Trees will be recycled for mulch used at the community park.
Donations directly fund the association's $500 annual scholarship program.
Heritage museum open this week
SHAMOKIN - Shamokin-Coal Township Heritage Museum, located on the second floor of the American Legion Building, Independence Street, will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is free. Donations are accepted.
Duplicate museum items and Northumberland County Council for the Arts items are for sale to benefit the museum, council and heritage parade.
