Duck drop winners announced
SHAMOKIN - Winners of the Brush Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce annual "Duck Drop" races held July 29 were:
Sponsor duck races
First, Harry Morgan, $300; second, Chris Venna, $200; third, Dave Dallazia, $100; fourth, Maryclaire Warwick, gift basket, and fifth, Jim McMullen, gift basket.
Large duck race winners
First, Family Home Medical; second, Pam Burns; third, Shamokin Aikido.
The chamber thanks its sponsors, including SCRA, M&T Bank, Harry Morgan, Shamokin Aikido, Center for Movement Arts, Family Home Medical, Spectrum Technologies, Shamokin Housing Authority, LIFE Geisinger, Pam Burns, Mountain View: A Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Leanne & Nick Bjorklund and Win Signs & Graphics.

Also, the chamber thanks Bob Carr for opening the Shamokin-Coal Township Museum that day and SCRA volunteers the Bjorklund, Mike Handerhan, Susan Zaner and John Motyka, as well as city officials Harry Maynard and the North American Railcar Operators Association, which brought its "speeder" train cars to town for the annual event.
