SUNBURY - A 24-year-old Shamokin woman charged with felony drug offenses involving a heroin transaction pleaded guilty Monday afternoon to one count of criminal conspiracy to deliver heroin.
Jordan Leigh Derck, of 133 Academy St., will be sentenced within 90 days after entering the plea before Northumberland County Judge Charles H. Saylor.
Derck, who is free on bail, was charged by then Mount Carmel Sgt. Todd Owens and Patrolman Matthew Dillman with conspiring with her boyfriend, Joseph Patrick Rubendall Jr., 23, of 830 S. River Ave., Sunbury, to deliver 10 bags of heroin, six Clonazepam tablets, five Suboxone strips and raw bulk heroin and possessing a cellophane bag containing 10 bags of heroin. Dillman and Owens, who is now the borough police chief, are members of the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force.
An additional felony count of criminal conspiracy and charges of possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia filed against the defendant will not be prosecuted at Derck's sentencing.
Derck was represented by Northumberland County Conflicts Counselor Michael Seward.
The charges relate to a July 15 incident outside Turkey Hill Minit Market in Strong.
Rubendall was charged with felonies of delivery of heroin, possession with intent to deliver heroin, Clonazepam, Suboxone and raw bulk heroin, two counts of criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a communication facility, and misdemeanors of possession of heroin, Clonazepam, Suboxone and raw bulk heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is awaiting further court action.
