SUNBURY - The sentencing of Robert Santore, 49, of Ranshaw, a police informant who played a key role in the conviction of Cornell and Diane Delvalle, of Coal Township, has been continued once again.
Santore, who previously pleaded guilty to two counts of manufacturing with intent to deliver a controlled substance filed by Shamokin Cpl. Bryan Primerano, and two counts of criminal conspiracy filed by Coal Township Detective Jeff Brennan, was scheduled to be sentenced Monday morning by Northumberland County President Judge Robert B. Sacavage. But that legal proceeding was continued Friday afternoon at the request of Santore's attorney, Peter Campana of Williamsport, who cited "pending negotiations" as his reason to seek the continuance.
Santore, who is free on bail, is now scheduled to be sentenced by Sacavage at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28.
Northumberland County Assistant District Attorney Michael Toomey arranged a plea agreement for Santore in exchange for his testimony in the trial of the Delvalles, who were convicted by an all-female jury Jan. 20 of multiple-drug related offenses.
