MOUNT CARMEL - The Elks Students of the Month for April have been announced.
Jessica Pachuski
The Elk Student of the Month is senior Jessica Pachuski, a daughter of Peter and Valerie Pachuski, of Kulpmont.
Pachuski has participated in the high school musical, chorus, powder puff football, cross country, track and field, and varsity cheerleading. She also participated in district jazz and district and regional chorus.
She was a WVIA Artist of the Week and Rotary Student of the Month and is the president of the Senior National Honor Society, Masque and Gavel Honor Society and the senior high chorus.
Her interests include music, art and reading and her future plans are to attend Misericordia University for speech pathology.
Rachel Startzel
The Junior Student of the Month is Rachel Startzel, a daughter of Cynthia Startzel, of Mount Carmel.
Startzel's activities include the school musical, chorus, pep club, yearbook, news reporting and cheerleading.
She is an honor roll student and was previously an Elks award winner.
Rachel's interests include reading, singing and hanging out with friends and family. Her future plans are to attend a four year college and major in early childhood education.
Mackenzie Witt
The Teen of the Month is eighth grade student Mackenzie Witt, a daughter of Norm and Leanne Witt, of Kulpmont.
Witt's activities include the Mount Carmel Area Marching Band and the Mount Carmel Area Symphonic Band.
She is an honor roll student and enjoys reading, writing and listening to music.
Her future plans are to attend a college for writing and communications.
Danielle Hooper
The Junior Teen of Month is eighth-grade student Danielle Hooper, a daughter of Daniel and Judith Hooper, of Mount Carmel.
She is a previous junior high pride winner and is on the honor roll.
In her spare time she enjoys singing, fishing, reading books, going on vacation, cheerleading and drawing.
Hooper's future plans are to become a radiologist.
