Food surplus distribution is today

KULPMONT - Borough residents enrolled in the food surplus program are reminded a distribution will be held from 8 a.m. to noon today at the borough garage. Residents are reminded to bring their bags.

The future considered at Lifetree Cafe

ELYSBURG - The trends that affect how we live in the future will be explored at Lifetree Cafe from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elysburg Presbyterian Church, 320 W. Valley Ave.

The program, titled "News From the Future: A Futurist Gives a Sneak Peek," features a filmed interview with Thomas Frey, senior futurist at the DaVinci Institute.

Participants in the Lifetree program will hear about key developments that Frey predicts will significantly change daily life in the coming decades.

Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
