COAL TOWNSHIP -Twelfth-grade student Anthony Shalamanda Jr. and seventh-grade student Abigail Nye have been selected as Students of the Month for November at Shamokin Area Middle-High School.
Anthony is a son Amy and Tony Shalamanda, of Shamokin. His awards and achievements include National Honor Society. His activities include the Art Club and National Honor Society. His hobbies include philosophy, drawing, painting, kayaking, geology and paleontology.
Abigail is a daughter of Jill and Todd Nye, of Shamokin. She is a distinguished honor roll student. Her activities include indoor and outdoor soccer, cross country and student council. Her hobbies are reading, painting, playing soccer and writing stories. Student of the Month is sponsored by the Shamokin Area PTSA.
