TREVORTON - Zerbe Township supervisors held their annual reorganization meeting Monday evening.
Michael Schwartz was reappointed as supervisor board chairman, while Mike Mazer was renamed board secretary/treasurer and Gene Geise remains roadmaster.
The board also unanimously approved their 2014 employees, officers and committee appointments, which are as follows:
- Solicitor - Wiest, Muolo, Noon and Swinehart, of Sunbury.
- Earned Income Tax collector - Keystone Collections Group.
- Depository - Union Bank and Trust, Trevorton.
- Engineer for sewer plant project - William F. Hill and associates.
- Township engineer - URS and Tim Wentz.
- Auditor - Douglas Parker, CPA.
- Township clerk and open records officer - Ellen Troutman.
- Maintenance worker - Jerome Bulchie.
- Sewer Operator - Edwin Reed.
- Laborer - William Breinich.
- Police Chief - Robert John.
- Part-time police officers - Brad Slack and Brad Hair.
- Zoning officer - Ronald Lesher.
- Part-time assistance township clerk and recycling attendant - Donna Reed.
- Zoning board of appeals - Dean Sampsell and David Miller, with one spot open.
- Recreation committee - Craig Scott, David Miller, Angela Wilkinson and Melissa Tharp.
- Sewage enforcement officers - James Sanders, primary, and Kenneth Young, alternate.
Supervisors also reported that an opening exists on the township's vacancy board and two openings are available on the planning committee.
Following the reorganization meeting, supervisors held their January meeting. Christmas tree pickup will be held Jan. 13 through 17, and trees can also be dropped off at the township salt shed.
Four bids were received for the township's old wood chipper, which was then sold to DeNaples Auto Parts, of Dunmore, for the highest bid received, $600.
Mazer announced the township was finally reimbursed $151,421.58 from the state for the 10th Street bridge project Dec. 26.
