SHAMOKIN - The following hearings took place Tuesday before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court Feb. 10 arraignment in Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Justin A. Tonomi, 27, of 718 Centre St., Apt. 2F, Ashland, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered to pay a $150 fine plus costs and was placed on supervised probation for one year. An additional charge of possession of "spice" was withdrawn.
Tonomi was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Shane Mowery in connection with an Oct. 30 incident at Dunkin' Donuts on West Sunbury Street.
n Charges of simple assault and harassment filed by Cpl. George Ritchey of state police at Stonington against Sarah Anne Dobeck, 29, of 409 Oak St., Trevorton, were withdrawn when her 51-year-old live-in boyfriend, James F. Madison, refused to testify at a preliminary hearing.
Dobeck was accused of assaulting Madison at their residence between Nov. 3 and Nov. 7.
A criminal complaint containing the same charges filed by Ritchey against Madison also was withdrawn after he agreed to plead guilty to a summary offense of harassment and was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs.
Madison was accused of assaulting Dobeck between Nov. 6 and Nov. 7 at their home.
