Choraliers will perform Christmas concert at Shamokin Area High School Sunday

COAL TOWNSHIP - The Choraliers will present their annual Christmas Concert at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Shamokin Area High School auditorium.

The men and ladies choir group will be under the direction of Robert Ensinger and will be accompanied by Bonny Klinger on piano.

Songs of the season to be performed are "Christmas Choral Fantasy," "The Snow Begins to Fall," "Christmas Wonderland" and "Gesu Bambino," featuring soloist Carol Ellis.

A barbershop quartet - Nancy Binkoski, Beverly Cooper, Tiffany Kaseman and Sherri Shebelsky - will sing "32 Feet" and "Eight Little Tails of White."

Other songs to be presented are "Home Alone at Christmas," "Away in the Manger," featuring a flute solo by Nan Weller, and "Sleigh Bells."

The second half of the concert begins with "Rise Up, Shepherd, and Follow!" "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Baloo Lammy" and a solo by Maurice Gard, "I'll Be Home for Christmas."

Vic Boris, Jim Krebs and Bob Kline will entertain with "Nuttin' for Christmas," and Valentine Mountjoy will be soloist for "I Wonder as I Wander." The concert will proceed with a comical number, "No Time to Diet," and end with "Christmas Joy!"

Choralier members are sopranos, Carol Ellis, Chris Hastings, Mary Hollingshead, Kelly Jones, Angela Kuhns, Amber Madden, Valentine Mountjoy, Barbara Moyer, Norma Moyer, Ann Nowaskie, Judy Pensyl, Sarah Purcell, Lisa Romanoski, Pat Romanoski, Donna Schaeffer, Cookie Schlader, Grace Shaffer, Sherri Shebelsky, Grace Stank, Darlis Tasker, Nedra Templar and Clara Weikel; altos Christine Backes, Nancy Binkoski, Joan Brown, Brennan Bruce, Beverly Cooper, Mary Alice Garrity, Carole Kaseman, Tiffany Kaseman, Pat Klemick, Linda Latsha, Ruth Paul, Peggy Prezlomski, Martha Jane Scholl, Virginia Sinclair, Carol Tarlecki, Carolyn Weaver and Nan Weller; tenors Morris Gard, Jim Johnson, Jim Krebs, Dave Kopitsky, Bob Zedanowich, and basses Ben Anderson, Vic boris, Bob Kline, Ken Mertz and Jake Ozga.

The Choraliers combine voices of men and women from Shamokin, Coal Township, Eysburg, Kulpmont, Mount Carmel and Bloomsburg. Ranging in age from high school to ageless, from many different denominations and backgrounds, these dedicated singers are united by the love of singing and performing music of all varieties. The public is invited to enjoy a Christmas concert expressing the love, joy and peace of the holiday season.
