SUNBURY - The Northumberland County Prison Board will discuss whether to change its monthly meetings to Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays in the new year.
Board Chairman and county Commissioner Stephen Bridy said there weren't enough members of the prison board present Wednesday to provide adequate feedback on the proposed change.
Commissioners Vinny Clausi and Rick Shoch, President Judge Robert B. Sacavage, District Attorney Tony Rosini and Sheriff Chad Reiner were not at the meeting. In order to hold a quorum, First Assistant District Attorney Ann Targonski and Deputy Sheriff Randy Coe were asked to come to the meeting.
The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, when the day change will be discussed.
It might fit into everyone's schedules better to hold the meeting the same day as the commissioner meetings, he said.
Controller Tony Phillips and Targonski made and seconded the motion to add the discussion point to the next agenda, and it passed 4-0.
The meeting started 25 minutes late, and the members held the public portion of the meeting for approximately one minute before breaking for executive session for potential litigation. The executive session lasted five minutes, and the rest of the public meeting lasted less than five additional minutes.
