Organization News: Patsies Senior Adult Ministry

TREVORTON - The Patsies Senior Adult Ministry met at St. Patrick's Church Hall on Aug. 19 with 28 members in attendance.

The S.A.M. Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance were recited and the "Over 50 Song" and "Happy Birthday" were sung for those celebrating in August: Joe Carabini, Charlotte Foust, Charlotte Fox, Albert and Bert Lagerman, Naomi Mielke, Edwina Savidge, Joanne Swank, Jim Wert and Mary Ann Wilkinson.

Expression of sympathy were extended to members Ann Robson, on the passing of her husband, Scotty, and to Helen Delorso on the passing of her son. Sympathy cards were mailed to both members.

Nina Savidge submitted her resignation from secretarial duties. Patsie members thanked her for all her efforts to the Patsies during her tenure as secretary. Betty Jane Bohner has volunteered to step in as her replacement.

The Diocesan S.A.M. Mass and banquet will be held at the Cardinal Keeler Center on Oct. 13.

Patsie trip information includes "Noah" at the Sight and Sound Theater in September and a trip to the American Music Theatre, in November. Contact Joyce at 797-3695 or Judie at 648-0105 for further information.

The treasurer's report was provided by MaryEllen Hoffman.

The next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16. September birthday celebrants are reminded to provide refreshments or a monetary donation. A covered-dish luncheon will be held Oct. 21 and a Christmas banquet is scheduled for Dec. 16.

The 50/25/25 winners were Dorothy Swank and Catherine Reed.

Refreshments were provided by Freda Boblick, Bert Lagerman, Naomi Mielke, Catherine Reed and Jim Wert along with donations by Joe Carabini, Al Lagerman, Joanne Swank and Rita Troutman. Bingo was played following refreshments.
