MOUNT CARMEL - The Clover Hose Company, the borough and surrounding communities will again work together in remembering the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The memorial parade will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 11, at Second and Oak streets and will include police, fire and rescue vehicles led by the Joint Veterans Organization. Parade participants are asked to line up at 6:30 p.m. A ceremony will immediately follow the parade at the Clover Hose Fire Company to remember the heroes and victims.
The parade route will start at Second and Oak streets and move south on Oak to Sixth streets. The ceremony will include the raising of the American flag by the Joint Veterans Organization and an honor roll call remembering emergency personnel who died responding to the terror attacks.
The Clover Hose Company and the borough have been involved with sponsoring and helping organize a memorial event since 2001.
Any organization that wishes to join the memorial is welcomed. Organizers are looking for fire and emergency apparatus, police departments and other organizations to participate. For additional information, call Bing at 339-5113.
