READING - One of the four cadets who escaped from Northwestern Academy Wednesday was found Thursday afternoon and was transported back to Northumberland County.

According to a media release from Coal Township Police Department, David Rosario, 18, of 321 S. Ninth St., Reading, was picked up by Reading City Police at 3 p.m. Thursday on a warrant obtained by Coal Township police.

Rosario was detained in the Abraxas Detention Center in Morgantown until he was picked up by township officers to be returned to the academy.

Other three at large

There has been no updates on the other three cadets, Sean Watson, 19, of 13106 Eighth St., Bowie, Md.; a 16-year-old male from the Washington, D.C., area, and a 15-year-old male from the Harrisburg area.

The four teens escaped shortly before 2 a.m. Wednesday from the secure building at the juvenile facility.

Northwestern Academy employee Kip Weir, 44, of Selinsgrove, told police Rosario and Watson assaulted him while he was releasing one of them out of a locked room to use the bathroom. Weir said Rosario and Watson then locked him in a room, stole his building keys and unlocked the room containing the juveniles before all four fled the building.

Police said the cadets also removed Weir's car keys and stole his gold, four-door 2007 Toyota Camry with registration JBW8757.

Township police have contacted authorities in the cadets' hometowns, relatives and friends and issued a "BOLO" (Be on the Lookout) to police and probation officers.

Carpenter said authorities have no reason to believe the cadets are armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the cadets is encouraged to call Coal Township police immediately at 644-0333.
