ATLAS - Seven members of the Carmelite Over 50 Club attended a meeting Aug. 8 at Village Towne Restaurant.
President Cindy Saukaitis opened the meeting and greeted members and officers. The Pledge of America, S.A.M.'s prayer and St. Mother Pauline's prayer were all recited, and the Over 50 song and one verse of "America" were sung.
Prayer was also given for the deceased and sick members of the club, and also for the safety of U.S. military personnel. A special prayer was said for Gerry Paleviz and Theresa Zosh Yanonsis' husband and for Edna Kister.
After the meal, Maria Kaminski read the minutes from the previous meeting, which were approved on motion by Evelyn Milewski and seconded by Jenny Nolan. The minutes are on file.
Al Visintainer gave the treasury report. It was approved on motion by Theresa Zosh Yanonis and seconded by Joice Yodis, and is available for audit.
Visintainer presented a check to Zaukaitis to use for an ad in the Mass and banquet booklet.
Yodis and Kaminski won the 50/50 drawing.
The next meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Sept. 12 at Village Towne Restaurant.
After adjourning, members played bingo.
