The Elysburg Fire Department Emergency Medical Services have mailed their 2013 fund drive requests throughout Ralpho Township and surrounding municipalities for which they provide services to.
The company advises the 2013 fund drive flyers are in a newly designed format, which is more cost-effective in comparison to previous years. Residents are advised to be attentive to this new format.
The subscription drive constitutes a significant portion of the company's yearly income and assists in purchasing the latest life-saving emergency equipment as well as offsetting day-to-day operating expenses. As the cost of equipment, maintenance and fuel continue to rise, so does the cost to provide this necessary service. The ambulance service has needed additional revenue over the past year to assure uninterrupted service to the community and depends on and appreciates the community support to continue this vital service.
The community is also reminded that Ambulance Fundraiser Cook Books are still available at $18 each and can be picked up, delivered or shipped. Additionally, the service is also selling raffle tickets for a chance at winning a $1,000 gift card for Gander Mountain.
Either can be obtained by calling the station at 672-2920.
