Northumberland County Fair Schedule

Thursday, Aug. 22

Farm animal educational exhibit open from 3 to 9 p.m.

1 p.m. - Judging of fruit, flowers, vegetables and baked goods.

3 to 9 p.m. - "Huffy" the Clown performance, sponsored by Jane Rebuck.

3 to 5 p.m. - Jay Smar performance, sponsored by the late Ed Mashburn.

6 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m. - Jim the Singing Mailman performance sponsored by Bill and Jeanne Snover and Donald and Renee Murphy.

6:30 p.m. - Sale of baked goods.

7 to 8 p.m. - Speech demonstrations, illustrated talks, public speaking competition for youth under 19.

Friday, Aug. 23

Farm animal education exhibit open from 3 to 9 p.m.

1 p.m. - Judging of remainder of the entries.

3 to 9 p.m. - "Huffy" the Clown performance.

6 p.m. - Registration for the pet parade.

6:30 p.m. - Pet costume contest and parade. Kid's night until dark with bale throwing and bale stacking (part of the Farmer's Triathlon), along with nail driving, water hauling and corn shelling.

6 to 7 p.m. and 8 to 9 p.m. - Midlife Cowboys Band performance.

7 p.m. - Pedal tractor pull (part of Farmer's Triathlon)

Saturday, Aug. 24

Farm animal educational exhibit open all day

9 a.m. - Rabbit and guinea pig show; horse show featuring horse riding demonstrations from local horsemen and horsewomen, trainers and clinicians, and a horse breed expo.

10 a.m. - Sheep and market goat show; "Huffy" the Clown performing all day.

Noon - Sanctioned American Dairy Goat Show.

1 to 2 p.m. - Peggy Shelley and Friends performance.

3 to 5 p.m. - Frank Wicher Band performance, sponsored by Sunbury Motors, Wiest Law Office, and Sunbury Monumental Works.

5 p.m. - Bale throwing and bale stacking (part of Farmer's Triathlon)

6 to 9 p.m. - K.J. Reimensnyder-Wagner performance.

9 p.m. (approximately) - Fireworks.
