MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court Sept. 23 in Northumberland County Court, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n Edward K. Davis, 34, of 456 E. Columbia Ave., Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and failing to confine his dog relating to an April 22 incident at his home.

Kenyatta R. Williams-Davis, 29, of the same address, was held for court on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct in connection with the same incident.

All the charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets.

n Brian M. Faust, 20, of 1656 W. Spruce St., Coal Township, waived to court charges of criminal conspiracy to commit theft, criminal conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property, theft and receiving stolen property.

Faust was charged by Mount Carmel Cpl. David Donkochik with stealing $2,900 from the home of Brenda and Robert Taylor, of 130 W. Second St., Mount Carmel, between May 4 and May 5.

n Jamie Michael Giffin, 34, of 58 Fishers Court, Danville, waived to court charges of criminal conspiracy to commit theft, theft, receiving stolen property and loitering and prowling at night.

Giffin was charged by Mount Carmel Patrolman Justin Stelma with stealing a 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor owned by Edward Kopchak, of 137 W. Fourth St., Mount Carmel, while the vehicle was parked in front of Kopchak's residence between May 21 and May 22.

n Michael P. Dunphy, 27, of 722 Spruce St., Kulpmont, waived to court charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension in connection with a March 9 incident in the 800 block of Chestnut Street in Kulpmont.

The charges were filed by Kulpmont Patrolman Patrick McAndrew.

n Brandy S. Hand, 36, of 955 Chestnut St., Apt. 2, Kulpmont, waived to court charges of theft, receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia relating to a May 10 incident at her apartment.

Hand was charged by Kulpmont Patrolman Michael Pitcavage in connection with the theft of an iPod and three XBox games from her son, Jacob Decker.

The same charges filed by Pitcavage against Chad M. Keefer, 30, of 1300 Scott St., Kulpmont, were withdrawn by Assistant District Attorney William Cole.

n William R. Bilder, 57, of 315 S. Hickory St., Apt. 312, Mount Carmel, waived to court charges of terroristic threats, stalking and disorderly conduct relating to an April 15 disturbance at his apartment building.

Bilder was charged by Mount Carmel Chief of Police Todd Owens with threatening to harm Robert Tamecki.

n Levi L. Gray, 19, of 494 W. Saylor St., Atlas, waived to court charges of loitering and prowling at night, criminal trespass and underage drinking involving a May 22 incident in the 600 block of West Fifth Street.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Cpl. David Donkochik.

n Deziray L. Cunningham, 26, of 1123 W. Water St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and failure to yield at a stop sign and was ordered to pay a $700 fine plus costs and placed on probation for 12 months.

Two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia were withdrawn.

The charges filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets relate to a March 3, 2012, incident at the intersection of Routes 901 and 54.

n Lawerance E. Pfaff, 53, of 216 S. Chestnut St., Mount Carmel, waived to court two counts each of aggravated assault and simple assault, and one count of terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime possessing prohibited offensive weapons, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.

The charges filed by Mount Carmel Lt. Christopher Buhay relate to a July 14 assault involving a knife in the first block of East Sixth Street in Mount Carmel.
