BLOOMSBURG - Students from Mount Carmel Area, North Schuylkill, Shamokin Area and five other high schools are participating in the TRiO Upward Bound program this summer at Bloomsburg University. It prepares high school students for success in postsecondary education.
Through the six-week residential summer academy, they are instructed in math, laboratory science, foreign language, SAT prep and more. They also visit other colleges, participate in college fairs, hear guest lecturers, compete on "Living Learning Teams" and participate in cultural events.
