First Amendment review held today
LEWISBURG - The Susquehanna Valley Conservatives (SVC) monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. today in the Baylor East Conference Room at Best Western Country Cupboard Inn. The featured speaker will be Louis Petolicchio.
The speaker will present "First Amendment Review." His talking points will include the original intent of the First Amendment, what it means today and its relation to the Pennsylvania Constitution.
Petolicchio serves as head of the education team for the Constitutional Organization of Liberty (COOL) and has taught courses based on the Constitution on behalf of COOL since its inception.
Louis was nominated for the 2008 Bill of Rights Award.
SVC meetings are free and open to the public.

Combat bivouac planned at museum
BOALSBURG - The Pennsylvania Military Museum will host its sixth annual Vietnam Revisited Living History weekend Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21. Visitors will experience the sights, smells and sounds of the era as re-enactors, museum staff and volunteers bring the time period to life.
Weekend events include live music and a patrol ambush demonstration. Visitors can also participate in a recon patrol. Throughout the activities, Armed Forces Radio VIETNAM 1968-69 will play, and each day's ambush demonstration will be preceded by a short summary of American involvement in Vietnam.
The bivouac opens to the public at 10 a.m. each day. Patrol ambush demonstrations are scheduled for 1:45 p.m.
