Teen injured
SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - A 16-year-old female from Shamokin suffered an arm injury in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday night near 1327 Mulberry Road in Shamokin Township.
The teen, who was not identified by state police at Stonington because she is a juvenile, was a passenger in a vehicle operated by a 16-year-old male from Coal Township.
Police said the male was driving north on Mulberry Road shortly after 6 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a left curve. The wheels began to slide on the tar-chipped surface and the vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.
The driver escaped injury. Police said both occupants were wearing seat belts.
An investigation continues.
Guns, tools stolen
LOCUST TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating the theft of guns and wire from a cabin at 2393 Mill Road at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday.
Police said someone forced their way inside and removed two 250-foot coils of copper wiring, approximately 60 to 70 feet of miscellaneous wiring cut from receptacles, tools, a Benjamin .177 caliber air rifle with a 9X Tasco scope and a Marlin RD 22-1 model 60C .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle.

Bad checks
UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Trooper David Myers of state police at Stonington has charged Todd A. Cornell, 44, of Bloomsburg, with issuing two bad checks to pay for bingo at Sunbury Social Club on Oct. 8 and Oct. 15.
Harassment
UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - Daniel Joseph Mitchell, 28, of 850 W. Market St., Trevorton, was charged by Trooper Thomas Leib of state police at Stonington with harassment for allegedly threatening to harm Joel Edward Hoover, 21, of 1579 Main St., Port Trevorton, during an argument at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday at Anthracite Industries.
Drunkenness
SHAMOKIN - Brenda Snyder, 43, of 329 W. Spruce St., Apt. 6, Shamokin, was cited by Cpl. Darwin Tobias III for public drunkenness in connection with a disturbance near her home at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday. Police reported Snyder was banging on doors and screaming.
Theft charges
RALPHO TOWNSHIP - Shawn E. Eckhart, 26, of 301 W. Coal St., Trevorton, was charged by Patrolman Chris Dailey with theft of lost or mislaid property, two counts each of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, access device fraud and forgery.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the office of Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones, Eckhart allegedly picked up a lost credit/debit card in front of the ATM machine at Sheetz in Elysburg and used it to make a purchase totaling $11.06 at Sheetz and another purchase totaling $100.49 at Walmart in Bloomsburg on Oct. 22.
