FORT BENNING, Ga. - Army National Guard Pfc. Trent C. Zimmerman has graduated from basic infantry training in Georgia.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness and first aid and Army history, core values and traditions.
Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
Zimmerman is a son of Roger Zimmerman, of Washington Street, Milton, and Tina Fleming, of West Spruce Street, Coal Township.
He is a 2012 graduate of Milton Area High School.
