ANNVILLE - The Memorial Council of the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will present the 31st Memorial Day program at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The event, which will be held rain or shine, will be the 13th Memorial Day event to be held in the Pennsylvania Veteran's Memorial located at the National Cemetery. This year's program is co-sponsored by the Catholic War Veterans, Department of Pennsylvania.

James R. Metcalfe III, cemetery director, will welcome the audience. LTC Nicholas M. Taylor, USA (Ret), will deliver the keynote address. As a civilian, Taylor works for the Directorate of Public Works, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. Master of Ceremonies is Paul Hastings, PNC Marine Corps League.

The 28th Infantry Brass Quintet will provide music. Alpha and Bravo Batteries of the 109th Field Artillery, Pennsylvania National Guard, will render the artillery salute and members of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1306 will perform color guard duties. Massed colors will be under the direction of the Marine Corps League.

Veterans and service organizations are encouraged to bring their organizational and national colors for the parade of flags. No side arms are required.

The Avenue of Flags will be on display along the cemetery driveways and flown from May 4 until after Veterans Day. The flags displayed are casket flags donated by the families of deceased service members. State, territory and service flags are also flown.

Transportation to and from designated parking areas will be provided. There will be limited handicapped parking on the cemetery grounds. Signs will be posted indicating parking and shuttle bus pick-up locations. Due to limited seating at the Memorial, guests should bring lawn chairs.
