The regular meeting of the Trevorton Senior Action Center was held Thursday, May 7. The meeting was opened with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
The secretary's report was read by Wanda Heath and approved as read.
The treasurer's report was read by Bob Sager and approved as read.
Joyce Koppen read the travel financial report and the travel committee report. Any information regarding trips can be obtained by calling Koppen, at 797-3695, or Nina, at 648-0545.
A six-week session on chronic disease management will be presented each Thursday. This session will run from 1 to 3:30 p.m. This informative session is for anyone suffering from conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, diabetes or asthma. Representatives from Family Medical in Mount Carmel will present the information.
Hoagies will be made June 22. An order sheet is available. Hoagie varieties will be regular, ham and turkey. Pick up is also June 22 until 4 p.m.
A members breakfast wil be serverd May 28. A sign-up sheet is available, or call the center at 797-1996 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Area Agency on Aging is sponsoring a day at Knoebels Grove. The VNA Health Fair will be held the same day. Cost of the meal will be $8 and tickets are on a first come-first serve basis. Contact Diana at the Center.
Membership is open and renewal deadline is June 30. The center is glad to welcome 24 new members this year and they encourage friends and neighbors to join them for some great times and fellowship.
Suggestion were made for future trips to the Wooden Nickel in Millersburg or Longhorn Steak House in Shamokin Dam. Diana will check into the schedule with transportation for approved dates.
The meeting was adjourned and members played bingo and cards immediately after the meeting.
