A PennDOT bridge crew will begin deck preservation projects at bridges in local municipalities.
Each bridge will receive a double application of an epoxy overlay and stone chips, which will provide better traction and extend the life of the structure.
- Route 901, 29-foot long bridge carrying Route 901 over Locust Creek, about one-half mile south of Locust Gap, June 3, weather permitting. Daylight closure 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a red-arrow detour in place. The detour will use Route 54 and Route 61. Work is expected to be completed in one day.
- Shamrock Road, Shamokin Township, 98-foot long bridge carrying Route 2010 (Shamrock Road) over Shamokin Creek, about one mile north of Paxinos, June 4, weather permitting. Daylight closure from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a red-arrow detour in place. The detour will use Bottle Road and Short Road. Work is expected to be completed in one day.
- Route 147, Lower Augusta Township, 29-foot long bridge carrying Route 147 over Boile Run, about one-half mile south of Fishers Ferry, June 5 and 6, weather permitting. Work is expected to be completed in two days, in half-widths and traffic will be controlled by flagging. Motorists should plan for delays in their travels through this area.
