SHAMOKIN DAM - The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce is surveying local business owners and operators regarding their "attitudes and perceptions" about the impact of the Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway.

After a two-week survey of chamber members, the chamber opened participation to non-member businesses.

The results will be used to help the chamber "work more effectively with PennDOT and elected officials as the project progresses," according to a press release issued Wednesday.

"We've been very pleased with the results so far and we believe expanding the survey to non-member businesses will add to our understanding of the project's potential impact," said chamber President Charlie Ross.

The questionnaire can be downloaded at www.gsvcc.org and the results returned via e-mail. Only one response per business will be included.

The survey will be removed from the website on Friday, May 3.

Results will be made available to those who participated and will be detailed in full at upcoming chamber meetings.
