Symposium to discuss autism

LEWISBURG - Geisinger Health System will host a symposium on advancements in autism research and treatment from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market St.

The symposium will feature three experts in the field of autism research and treatment who will present on the following:

- Wendy Chung, M.D., Ph.D., Columbia University and Simons Foundation, "A Genetic First Approach to the Study of Autism."

- Robert Schultz, Ph.D., Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, "Understanding and Measuring the Social Dimension in Autism Spectrum Disorder."

- Brenda Finucane, MS, CGC, Autism and Developmental Medicine Institute, Geisinger, "From Single Syndromes to Shared Pathways: The Evolution of Behavioral Research in Genetic Neurodevelopmental Disorders."

Camp Energy focused on youth health

MILLVILLE - Making healthy choices can be a struggle, especially for teens who don't have the control or resources they need. Camp Energy, a fun and informative healthy changes program, has been designed to address this issue. It will be held from May 10 to 12 at the Camp Victory campus.

Camp Energy includes nutrition, exercise and fitness education for teens hoping to make changes in their lives.
