THARPTOWN - No one was injured Friday morning when a sport-utility vehicle rear-ended a school bus at the intersection of Route 61 and Hospital Road.
Twelve students from Shamokin Area's elementary and middle/high schools were aboard the bus, and Coal Township Police say none were injured nor upset by the "minor crash."
A Shamokin Area nurse responded to check the students before they continued on the bus to school.
According to police, Jennifer Miscavage, 40, of 128 Tharp St., Coal Township, was driving north in a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer about 7:30 a.m. when she struck the rear left side of the bus's bumper.
The bus was stopped at the red light when the accident occurred. It was being driven by Robert Dobson, 41, of Trevorton.
Police said there was heavy rainfall at the time of the accident, and there are no charges pending.
