Dining hall to be dedicated

MILLMONT - The reopening and dedication of the Fogarty Dining Hall at Camp Karoondinha, 225 Thomas Dam Road, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28. The Fogarty Dining Hall was named for John T. Fogarty, a dedicated Eagle Scout, Scoutmaster and volunteer of the Susquehanna Council.

Through his years of service, Fogarty was directly responsible for the design and construction of many Camp Karoondinha facilities, including the Kirby and Harris cabins, the Ertel Lodge, the Apple Trading Post, the shower building and the swimming pool complex. Fogarty's foresight and generosity led to the new kitchen and refurbishment of the dining hall, which stands as a testament to his dedication and volunteerism on behalf of the Boy Scouts of America.

Festivities begin at 1 and end at 4 p.m.
