MOUNT CARMEL - The following hearings took place Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Hugh A. Jones. Defendants ordered to appear for plea court on Monday, April 29, at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
n Crystal A. Kerner, 26, of 249 S. Spruce St., Mount Carmel, waived charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and driving on roadway laned for traffic.
She was charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Patrolman Kelly Campbell following a traffic stop at 3:27 a.m. Jan. 27 near Park Avenue, Marion Heights.
n Charges of simple assault, harassment and cruelty to animals were waived to court by Tyler M. Wondoloski 20, of 802 W. Fifth St., Mount Carmel.
He was charged by Mount Carmel Borough Police Cpl. Christopher Buhay following an incident involving his girlfriend and dog at 221 S. Oak St., at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 5.
n Brian T. Kramer, 24, of 104 S. Peach St., Mount Carmel, waived charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking, possession of a controlled substance, and receiving stolen property.
He was charged by Mount Carmel Borough Police Patrolman Matthew Dillman after he allegedly stole prescription medication from the residence of Tammy Brown, 318 S. Chestnut St., Aug. 15.
n Charges of corruption of minors, simple assault and harassment were waived to court by Keifer Zsido, 21, of 149 W. Sixth St., Mount Carmel.
The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Borough Police Patrolman Matthew Dillman following a Dec. 29 incident at 14 S. Walnut St.
n James E. Doak, 44, of 31 N. Locust St., Mount Carmel, waived charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and careless driving.
He was charged by Mount Carmel Borough Police Patrolman Shane Reamer after an accident on Dec. 30, in the area of Second and Locust streets.
n Charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance against Adam J. Powell, 27, of 49 W. Second St., Mount Carmel, were withdrawn by Mount Carmel Borough Police.
He was charged by Patrolmen Matthew Dillman and Justin Stelma following an incident at his residence on March 21, 2012.
n Brian K. Howerter, 48, of 215 W. Saylor St., Atlas, waived charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a drug or a combination of drugs and driving on the right side of the roadway.
He was charged by Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush following a traffic stop at 2:26 p.m. Jan. 11 at Laurel and Wood streets, Atlas.
n Mark J. Derr, 20, of 328 S. Grape St., Mount Carmel, was sentenced to 12 months probation and a $500 fine after pleading guilty to retail theft.
Mount Carmel Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush charged Derr after Derr allegedly took beer from the Pine Burr Inn on Jan. 8.
Charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property were withdrawn.
