SELINSGROVE - Photographers in the Susquehanna Valley are invited to participate in Everything Equine, an exhibit to be held at The Post and Lintel gallery in Selinsgrove from April 19 to 25. The exhibit is sponsored by the gallery and Alpha Phi Omega at Susquehanna University as a benefit for Special Olympics PA Northumberland Snyder equestrians.

All entries should reflect a general equine theme, which can include, but not be limited to, stables, tack, equestrians, fields, countryside, buggies and carriages. A broad range of concepts will be accepted within the general equestrian theme.

There will be five age categories for judging: Elementary school (5 to 7 years), intermediate (8 to 10 years), middle school (11 to 13 years), high school and adult. Photographs will be judged by a panel of three judges, one of whom is Stacy Martin, owner of The Post and Lintel. Photos will also be judged by the public for People's Choice Awards. No monetary prizes will be awarded because the event is a benefit.

The entrance fee is $10 per item. Photographs must be framed on canvas with wires and must be ready for display. The entire piece must be no larger than 18-by-24 inches. Payment can be made to SOPA Northumberland Snyder.

The opening celebration will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 20. The public is invited to visit the exhibit and vote for People's Choice Awards. Proceeds from this monetary vote will also benefit the Special Olympics equestrians.

Entry forms with details are on the Special Olympics PA Northumberland Snyder website, sopanorthumberlandsnyder.shutterly.com. Questions can be directed to Arden Miller at 374-5369.
